A local council in Lymington is looking for a dedicated individual to join the Street & Cleansing Section. This role involves street cleaning operations, including litter picking and maintenance of public spaces. The ideal candidate should possess a valid driving licence and have good customer care skills. This position offers competitive salary and benefits including leave and pension contributions.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our Street & Cleansing Section based at our Marsh Lane depot in Lymington. If you want to join our team delivering high quality services for the residents, businesses and tourists of the New Forest, this is a great opportunity working across the forest and coastal areas based within the New Forest.
Do you enjoy working outside? This role includes street cleaning operations around Hythe using a non-motorised barrow, litter picking, bin emptying, fly-tip collection and any work-based paperwork or system relating to the role. We are transitioning to Bartec, a tablet or phone-based work system to receive work/jobs and sign them off.
You should possess a valid UK driving licence with the ability to drive manual vehicles and to drive a Council vehicle (minimum 3.5 tonnes, up to 7.5 tonnes). CPC would be beneficial. You would be responsible for the vehicle. Shortlisted candidates will be asked to bring this to interview. Due to the physical nature of the role, you should have a good level of physical fitness as well as good customer care skills and experience dealing with members of the public, preferably in a frontline service environment.
