Join Heidelberg Materials UK and help shape the future of sustainable construction. We’re looking for a Strategic Sourcing Buyer to manage procurement for strategic goods and services across our aggregates, cement, concrete, and asphalt plants with a total spend responsibility of over £20 million. Reporting directly to the UK Procurement Director, the role focuses on strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, risk management, and procurement process optimisation.

What You’ll Do
  • Strategic Sourcing: Identify and deliver procurement projects for multiple UK Cement, Aggregate, Concrete & Asphalt plants, reducing costs and improving processes.
  • Negotiation: Achieve optimum terms and conditions through effective negotiation, eTender, and eAuction.
  • Procurement Guidance: Support allocated plants with best practices, preferred vendors, and compliance, to uncover cost‑saving opportunities and improve P2P processes.
  • Opportunity Identification: Work closely with unit managers to uncover new strategic procurement opportunities.
  • Framework Implementation: Assist Category Managers with global and national agreements.
  • Performance Delivery: Meet KPIs set by the UK Procurement Director, including savings and automation targets.
