Job summary

Macfarlane Packaging in the United Kingdom is recruiting a Sales Coordinator at Heywood Distribution Park to support the sales team and drive order progression. You will act as the first point of contact for customer accounts, process orders, and revive lapsed accounts, collaborating with Sales Executives and logistics to ensure timely fulfilment.

The role requires at least 12 months in a sales coordination or similar role, strong communication, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 months' experience in a sales coordination, administration, or support role.
• Proven track record in handling customer enquiries and outbound calls in a phone-based environment.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with a friendly, professional manner.
• Strong organisational abilities with a keen eye for detail and the capacity to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
• Familiarity with CRM systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics.

Responsibilities

• Supporting sales growth by managing and streamlining order progression and customer communications.
• Using our CRM system to track leads, update customer records, and monitor sales activity.
• Proactively contacting lapsed or underutilised accounts to unlock opportunities for up-selling and cross-selling.
• Collaborating with Sales Executives, purchasing, and logistics teams to ensure timely order fulfilment.
• Handling customer enquiries and processing orders with precision to maintain service excellence.
