Job summary

Macfarlane Packaging seeks a Sales Coordinator at Heywood Distribution Park to underpin our sales success. You’ll be the first contact for customer accounts, manage inquiries, and process orders with precision while supporting Sales Executives, purchasing, and logistics for timely fulfilment.

You’ll join a team focused on delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced environment, with 37.5 hours weekly and a salary of £30,000 plus bonuses/OTE and flexible benefits.

Qualifications

• 12 months’ experience in a sales coordination/administration/support role.
• Proven track record in handling customer enquiries and outbound calls.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with a friendly, professional manner.
• Strong organisational abilities with the capacity to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems (experience with Microsoft Dynamics is advantageous).
• Familiarity with the packaging or distribution sector is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Managing and streamlining order progression and customer communications.
• Using CRM to track leads, update customer records, and monitor sales activity.
• Proactively contacting lapsed accounts to unlock upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
• Collaborating with Sales Executives, purchasing, and logistics teams to ensure timely order fulfilment.
• Handling customer enquiries and processing orders with precision to maintain service excellence.
