Job summary

Macfarlane Group Plc, trading as Macfarlane Packaging, is seeking a Sales Coordinator to underpin our sales success. You’ll be the first contact for customer accounts, manage enquiries, process orders, and revive lapsed accounts.

Joining a team with over 75 years of industry expertise, you’ll collaborate with Sales Executives, purchasing and logistics to ensure timely fulfilment, and contribute to a high standard of service and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 months' experience in a sales coordination, administration, or support role.
• Proven track record in handling customer enquiries and outbound calls in a phone-based environment.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with a friendly, professional manner.
• Strong organisational abilities with a keen eye for detail and the capacity to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with CRM systems (experience with Microsoft Dynamics is advantageous).
• Familiarity with the packaging or distribution sector is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supporting sales growth by managing and streamlining order progression and customer communications.
• Using our CRM system (MS Dynamics) to track leads, update customer records, and monitor sales activity.
• Proactively contacting lapsed or underutilised accounts to unlock opportunities for up‑selling and cross‑selling.
• Collaborating with Sales Executives, purchasing, and logistics teams to ensure timely order fulfilment.
• Handling customer enquiries and processing orders with precision to maintain service excellence.
