Job summary

Macfarlane Packaging in Newcastle upon Tyne is seeking an Internal Sales Coordinator to support our Newcastle team. You will be the first point of contact for customer accounts, manage enquiries, process orders, and keep CRM records up to date using MS Dynamics.

Working with Sales Executives, purchasing, and logistics, you will drive order progression, revive lapsed accounts, and help grow sales through proactive service and up-selling.

Qualifications

• 12 months’ experience in a sales coordination/administration role
• Experience handling customer enquiries and outbound calls in a phone-based environment
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems (Dynamics advantageous)
• Familiarity with packaging/distribution sector is a plus

Responsibilities

• Support sales growth by managing and streamlining order progression and customer communications
• Use CRM (MS Dynamics) to track leads, update customer records, and monitor activity
• Proactively contact lapsed/underutilised accounts to unlock up-selling opportunities
• Collaborate with Sales Executives, purchasing and logistics to ensure timely order fulfilment
• Handle customer enquiries and process orders with accuracy
