Job summary

DS Smith is seeking an experienced Account Manager for the UK Packaging (Retail) team, supporting the Midlands and the South East. The role focuses on growing and retaining an existing portfolio across FMCG and industrial sectors, delivering value-led packaging solutions through close collaboration with design and innovation teams.

You will manage account plans, drive margin improvements, and work in a multi-level matrix with remote working and regular travel for client pitches and site visits

Qualifications

• Proven success in an Account Management role within FMCG or packaging sectors.
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel as needed.
• Strong business acumen and negotiation skills with the ability to handle external and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of account plans to secure organic revenue growth and margin improvements within existing customers.
• Build deep partnerships across FMCG and industrial sectors to drive customer loyalty and satisfaction.
• Coordinate with Design and Innovation teams to translate customer needs into sustainable packaging offers.
• Manage account metrics and provide accurate sales volume and revenue forecasts via CRM.
• Collaborate with regional sales networks and operations to maximise market opportunities and drive supply chain efficiencies.
