Job summary

Machine Mart is seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join our HR team at the Nottingham Head Office. You will be the go-to person for management, providing expert advice on company policies and HR best practice, coaching managers and strengthening their confidence.

The role is office-based with occasional travel to other sites. You will handle generalist HR duties, ER case-load, recruitment, policy development and learning & development, supporting the business with pragmatic solutions and

Qualifications

• Experienced operational HR Advisor with a focus on employee relations.
• Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practice.
• CIPD Level 3 qualification or equivalent is required.
• Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in HR systems and Microsoft Office Suite; driving licence essential.

Responsibilities

• Generalist HR responsibilities across the organisation, working with the HR Manager.
• Manage the ER case-load, support line managers with disciplinaries, grievances, absence and flexible working.
• Provide HR support to employees and managers, promoting best HR practice.
• Manage recruitment processes from drafting adverts to onboarding.
• Develop and implement HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with employment law.
• Support learning and development across the business.
