Job summary

Machine Mart Ltd is seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join our HR team at our Nottingham Head Office. You will be the go-to partner for managers, advising on employment law, policy, and best HR practice while coaching leaders to maximise their effectiveness.

The role involves hands-on delivery across employee relations, recruitment, and policy implementation, with travel to other sites as required and a full uk driving licence preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong up-to-date knowledge of employment law
• CIPD Level 3 qualification or equivalent
• Excellent communication, presentation and relationship building skills
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Proficiency in HR systems and Microsoft Office Suite
• Willing to be office based, with ad-hoc travel to different sites and occasional overnight stays
• Valid UK driving licence - essential

Responsibilities

• Generalist HR responsibilities across the organisation, working closely with the HR Manager on a wide array of HR duties
• Manage the ER case-load across the business, supporting line managers with disciplinaries, grievance, absence management and flexible working requests, as well as performance management
• Provide comprehensive HR support to employees and managers across the business, promoting best HR practice
• Manage recruitment processes from drafting adverts to interviewing and onboarding
• Develop and implement HR policies and procedures, measuring their effectiveness and compliance to employment law
• Supporting with learning & development across the business.
