Job summary

ABM UK is seeking an Employee Relations Advisor to provide pragmatic, commercial advice on all ER matters including discipline, grievances, TUPE, absence management and HR policies. The role involves supporting line managers and operational leads across London as required.

The ideal candidate will act as the primary ER contact for managers, ensure fair handling of cases, log queries for reporting, keep policies up to date, and assist with tribunal preparations in partnership with the legal team.

Qualifications

• Strong ER knowledge and expertise, or willingness to develop
• Experience in facilities management, hospitality, or retail
• Able to work with high volumes in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to prioritise effectively and maintain attention to detail
• Knowledge of TUPE responsibilities and processes

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for managers on ER cases in a fast-paced environment
• Ensure ER matters are handled fairly and in line with legal and company requirements
• Log and update all ER queries for reporting purposes
• Collaborate with line managers to update policies in line with legislation and best practice
• Prepare employment tribunal responses and liaise with the legal team to minimise risk
• Support managers to implement initiatives for employee engagement and continuous improvement
• Provide coaching and training to managers on people management
• Develop and coach operational managers
• Work with HR administration and Payroll to maintain accurate data records
• Demonstrate ER knowledge and lead initiatives in hospitality/retail environments
