Machine Mart is seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join our HR team at the Nottingham Head Office. You will be the go-to person for management, providing expert advice on company policies and HR best practice, coaching managers and strengthening their confidence.

The role is office-based with occasional travel to other sites. You will handle generalist HR duties, ER case-load, recruitment, policy development and learning & development, supporting the business with pragmatic solutions and

• Experienced operational HR Advisor with a focus on employee relations.
• Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practice.
• CIPD Level 3 qualification or equivalent is required.
• Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in HR systems and Microsoft Office Suite; driving licence essential.

Responsabilidades

We are looking for an experienced HR Advisor to join our HR team in our centrally located Nottingham Head Office. We are close to the City centre, with good links to the bus and tram network and the local train station.

The role:

You will be the go-to person for our management team, providing expert advice and support in relation to company policies and HR best practice. You should be comfortable coaching and advising managers, helping to strengthen their confidence and effectiveness in managing people.

You will need to be comfortable with rolling your sleeves up and getting stuck into the day to day, as well as having the initiative to provide pragmatic solutions to the business.

This role is office based with occasional travel to other sites which dependant on geography, may require an overnight stay so a full driving licence is a necessity.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Generalist HR responsibilities across the organisation, working closely with the HR Manager on a wide array of HR duties
• Manage the ER case-load across the business, supporting line managers with disciplinaries, grievance, absence management and flexible working requests, as well as performance management
• Provide comprehensive HR support to employees and managers across the business, promoting best HR practice
• Manage recruitment processes from drafting adverts to interviewing and onboarding
• Develop and implement HR policies and procedures, measuring their effectiveness and compliance to employment law
• Supporting with learning & development across the business.

What we need from you:

You will be an experienced operational HR Advisor, able to support the HR function by providing practical, solution focused advice on general HR and people matters. You should have a strong background in supporting line managers with employee relations and case work.

• Strong and up-to-date knowledge of employment law
• CIPD Level 3 qualified or equivalent
• Excellent communication, presentation and relationship building skills
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Proficiency in HR systems and Microsoft Office Suite
• Willing to be office based, with ad-hoc travel to different sites and occasional overnight stays
• Valid UK driving licence -essential
