Job summary

MCS Group is partnering with a leading manufacturing organisation to recruit a People Advisor. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional to join a busy team, providing practical advice and support to managers across a range of employee relations matters while contributing to wider HR initiatives and continuous improvement.

The role focuses on advising managers, owning ER cases, supporting attendance and performance management, and contributing to HR policy development

Qualifications

• Experience in an HR advisory or generalist role.
• Confident handling employee relations matters and advising managers on HR best practice.
• Solid understanding of employment legislation and its practical application.
• Strong relationship-building skills with the confidence to influence and challenge when required.
• Highly organised, detail-oriented and capable of managing a varied workload.
• Proactive approach with a commitment to delivering a high-quality HR service.

Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted point of contact for managers, providing advice on a broad range of HR matters.
• Take ownership of employee relations cases, supporting managers through challenging situations and ensuring fair, consistent outcomes.
• Work proactively with managers to address attendance, performance and employee conduct issues.
• Support recruitment and onboarding activities, helping the business attract and integrate new talent.
• Assist with the review and development of HR policies, procedures and processes.
• Contribute to employee engagement initiatives and wider people projects.
• Maintain accurate HR records and provide reports to support business decisions.
• Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and enhance the service provided to employees and managers.
