Job summary

An international specialist insurer in the UK is seeking a Head of Syndicate Accounting & Reporting. This senior role involves overseeing financial management and reporting for multiple entities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and leading the syndicate’s accounting function. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in Lloyds accounting, excellent IFRS technical knowledge, and strong leadership skills. The position is interim for 12 months with an emphasis on process improvement and stakeholder collaboration.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with 10+ years in Lloyds Accounting and Reporting.
• Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent IT skills with exposure to accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Syndicate Accounting and Reporting processes including Lloyds and Solvency II reporting.
• Manage production of annual reports, IFRS statutory reporting and Lloyd's regulatory returns.
• Lead automation and innovate reporting processes to enhance operational efficiency.
