This individual will play a key role in shaping and delivering the future of reporting, data automation, and platform integration for the agency and its clients.

As the team scales and the demand for more advanced reporting, data quality, and automation grows, this role will ensure continuity of leadership, increase delivery capacity, and support the development of future‑ready reporting infrastructure. The Data Solutions Director will act as a trusted lead for both internal teams and clients, and will have autonomy to lead on high importance workstreams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership of Core Workstreams
  • Take ownership of critical reporting and data workstreams—e.g., Power BI deployment, data and reporting automation, dashboarding standards.
  • Drive the MG Data Environment implementation and ensure platform readiness for future automation.
  • Lead the delivery of key client projects where required.
  • Strategic & Operational Support
  • Support in managing team priorities, project tracking, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Represent the Data Solutions team in agency‑wide forums and cross‑functional initiatives.
  • Develop commercial proposals and solutions
  • Client Engagement & Delivery
  • Act as a senior client‑facing lead on key accounts where reporting, automation, or platform integration is central.
  • Ensure the quality, consistency, and strategic relevance of reporting outputs across clients.
  • Build trusted relationships with client leads, data owners, and other internal stakeholders.
  • Team Development & Structure
  • Provide day‑to‑day leadership to team members across reporting and data delivery.
  • Support the development team members, creating growth and accountability within the team.
  • Help define and embed a clear team operating model to support future scaling.
  • Platform & Technical Oversight
  • Work closely with platform owners (e.g., Datorama, Power BI) to ensure solutions are sustainable, maintainable, and aligned with agency vision.
  • Champion the adoption of self‑serve tools, consistent dashboard design standards, and data integrity principles.
Experience and Capability
  • Proven experience in leading data and reporting projects within a media, marketing, or technology environment.
  • Strong understanding of data visualisation tools (especially Power BI), dashboarding best practices, and data pipeline design.
  • Capable of translating complex data requirements into client‑ready solutions and narratives.
  • Strong communicator who can engage confidently with senior stakeholders and cross‑functional teams.
  • Experienced in managing and developing teams, with a passion for growing talent.
  • Comfortable balancing strategic thinking and hands‑on delivery.
