Job Description

An exciting opportunity has become available for a proactive and safety-focused Strategic Asset Technician to join our team in Bournemouth on a full time, permanent basis. You’ll play a key role in maintaining our assets, supporting operational activities, and ensuring we continue to deliver high-quality drinking water and excellent customer service. This is a varied, hands-on role that involves planned and reactive work, problem-solving, and participation in standby and call-out rotas.

What You'll Be Doing:

Follow all Health, Safety & Security policies and standards at all times. Carry out maintenance tasks on a wide range of network assets, including service reservoirs, pressure reducing valves, network fittings and pumping stations. Plan and deliver routine and reactive reservoir cleaning.

Use inspection tools such as CCTV and ROV equipment. Work in line with all QMS procedures and maintain up-to-date knowledge of them. Ensure environmental protection requirements are met during maintenance activities.

Support supply interruption mitigation techniques, both in planned and reactive situations, including out-of-hours deployment. Contribute to wider water distribution operations such as trunk main walking, mains flushing, and non-highway excavations for leaks or asset access.
