Job summary

Mitie is seeking a Retail Security Officer for Asda, Great Bridge. You will deliver excellent customer service while maintaining a safe shopping environment, deterring crime and ensuring staff and customer safety.

The role involves patrolling the store, monitoring CCTV, liaising with store management, and reporting incidents, with uniforms provided and a focus on professional conduct.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering Customer Service.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• Adaptable communication style to different people groups.
• Ability to work in a fast-moving services business.
• Capability in the use of technology.
• Good attention to detail.
• High level of enthusiasm and passion.
• Public Space Surveillance SIA licence is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Record activity accurately on documents per QA procedures.
• Follow site-specific Risk Assessments to maintain safety.
• Maintain high personal and professional standards as a Mitie employee.
• Create a safe working environment free from crime and health and safety issues.
• Provide a polite greeting and excellent customer service.
• Provide a visible security contact for colleagues, contractors and customers.
• Deliver industry-leading customer service.
• Deter violence and public order offences.
• Conduct patrols of the store.
• Utilise CCTV systems to reduce crime and stock loss.
• Liaise with store management teams.
• Report incidents and crime through our technology.
• Liaise with Police and crime partnerships as required.
• Wear Body Worn CCTV to support safety.
