Job summary

River Island in Stockton Teesside Park is seeking a People & Service Team Leader to drive exceptional customer service and lead a motivated store team. You will support the Store Management with daily operations, service delivery, and visual standards to boost sales and KPI performance.

You’ll nurture an inclusive, energetic environment, motivate staff, and use commercial tools to improve the customer journey while keeping health and safety compliance at the forefront.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail, preferably in a supervisor role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for fashion and staying updated on trends.

Responsibilities

• Deliver great service and model this for the store team.
• Create an inclusive environment where all team feel valued.
• Foster wellbeing culture and direct line of communication for staff.
• Duty manage across store operations including product and visual standards.
• Support the People & Service Manager to delight customers with the best journey.
• Empower the team to deliver for the customer and focus on experience.
• Utilise commercial tools to drive actions and KPIs.
• Drive store KPIs: sales, stock loss, payroll, conversion, VOC, RFID and people KPIs.
• Help manage store operations with health and safety compliance.
• Develop the store team into a high performing, motivated group.
