Job summary

Sainsbury's is seeking a capable Customer & Trading Manager to oversee day-to-day store operations and lead a small management team. You will ensure exceptional customer service, manage performance and disciplinary actions, and handle scheduling and pay with accuracy.

Occasional support for other stores within the network may be required. We value hands-on leadership, a strong focus on KPIs, and the ability to run the store in the absence of more senior management.

Qualifications

• Experience leading in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment and coaching a team to perform.
• Proven ability to deliver KPIs across sales, availability, and customer satisfaction.
• Experience managing employee relations issues, including discipline and attendance management.

Responsibilities

• Work with a small team of managers to ensure the store runs smoothly every day.
• Take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the store, often the sole manager with full accountability.
• Lead a team to ensure customers are served efficiently and safely.
• Manage performance and capability, conduct disciplinaries and ensure scheduling and pay are accurate.
• Occasionally support other stores within the network when needed.
