Job summary

Sainsbury's in Halstead seeks a Customer & Trading Manager to lead daily store operations with a hands-on approach. You’ll oversee a small management team, drive performance, and ensure excellent customer service while maintaining availability and safety standards.

As the sole manager at times, you’ll be accountable for scheduling, disciplinaries, and payroll accuracy, and may assist nearby stores when needed.

Qualifications

• Proven track record delivering excellent customer service and coaching teams.
• Experience leading in fast-paced, store-based environments.
• Able to meet and beat KPIs related to sales, availability and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with a small team of managers to ensure the store runs smoothly every day.
• Take responsibility for day-to-day running of the store, often as the sole manager with full accountability.
• Collaborate with a team to complete tasks, ensuring customers are served efficiently and safely.
• Manage performance and discipline, and ensure scheduling and payroll accuracy.
• May need to support other nearby stores as part of a network of stores.
