Job summary

Sainsbury's Group is seeking a Customer & Trading Manager to oversee daily operations in our Yate store. You will lead a small management team, ensure top-tier customer service, and drive store performance while managing scheduling and payroll accuracy.

The role may involve supporting nearby stores as needed. You will coach colleagues to deliver exceptional service, meet KPIs, and handle employee relations with confidence.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated track record delivering strong customer service and coaching colleagues.
• Experience leading a team in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
• Operational leadership, taking responsibility in the absence of senior managers.
• Proven ability to meet or exceed KPIs across sales, availability, or engagement.
• Experience managing employee relations issues, including performance and absence management.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with a small team of managers to ensure the store runs smoothly every day.
• Take responsibility for day-to-day running of the store, often the sole manager with full accountability.
• Collaborate with a team to complete tasks and serve customers efficiently and safely.
• Lead scheduling and payroll accuracy; manage performance and capability.
• May provide support to other nearby stores as needed.
