Job summary

Sainsbury's in Greater Manchester is seeking an experienced Store Manager to lead a busy convenience operation. You will manage Customer and Trading Managers, plan for trading activity, and ensure safety, legality and strong customer service standards across the store.

You will use data to drive improvements, model exemplary service, and lead through change while developing leadership within your team to deliver great store outcomes and customer experiences.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a fast-paced retail operation with accountability for service, sales and team performance.
• Ability to use data and insight to inform planning and improve customer experience.
• Experience navigating employee relations, including dismissals, and applying HR policies consistently.
• Proven ability to develop leadership capability within a team and drive change with engagement.

Responsibilities

• Take full control of the shop and lead Customer and Trading Managers.
• Plan and prepare for upcoming trading activity, balancing commercial aims with safety and compliance.
• Deliver on Sainsbury’s purpose to make good food, joyful, accessible and affordable for customers.
• Lead through change and continuously improve the customer journey and store performance.
