Job summary

St Christopher's Hospice in Greater London is seeking a Store Manager to run one of our busy high street shops. You will oversee stock, staffing, compliance, opening/closing, and cash handling, reporting to an Area Manager.

You will foster a welcoming environment for volunteers and staff while delivering effective retail operations. The role requires supervisory experience with a hands-on approach, strong people skills, and the ability to meet commercial targets in a bustling charity retail

Qualifications

• Experience leading a team of staff and volunteers.
• Proven ability to manage stock, pricing, and display of donated items.
• Strong customer service ethos with a track record of meeting sales targets.

Responsibilities

• Oversee stock journey from sorting to display and sale.
• Open and close store and ensure cash handling compliance.
• Lead and supervise volunteers and Assistant Managers.
• Ensure health and safety compliance and maintain high standards of stock integrity.
• Report to Area Manager on store performance and issues.
