Job summary

HRGO Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a well-established retail organisation for a Store Manager to join their team in Stoke-on-Trent. The successful candidate will lead the sales team, drive performance against targets and KPIs, and uphold the highest standards of customer service.

Experience in carpets, flooring or beds retail is advantageous but not essential; prior store management or deputy roles are welcome to apply. The role offers strong earning potential and progression.

Qualifications

Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operation of the retail store

• Ensure all company sales and administration procedures are followed

• Maintain the store environment in line with company standards
• Ensure tickets, point-of-sale materials and graphics are displayed correctly
• Manage and coordinate independent fitter work schedules
• Monitor the standards and quality of work completed by fitters
• Maintain a strong presence on the shop floor and lead by example
• Develop a positive, target-driven sales culture across the store

About You

• Previous experience as a Store Manager, Assistant Store Manager, Deputy Manager, Team Leader or similar retail leadership role
• Experience managing, motivating and developing a team
• Strong understanding of the retail sales process
• Experience working towards sales targets and KPIs
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Confident and professional approach to customer service
• Positive, proactive and self-motivated with a strong can-do attitude
• Ability to use initiative and make decisions independently
• Strong commercial awareness and focus on achieving results
• Previous carpets, flooring or beds retail experience is preferred but not essential
• Experience within a target-driven sales environment
• Ability to work 40 hours per week, including weekends
• Full UK driving licence preferred
