Job summary

HRGO Recruitment is seeking a Store Manager for a Stoke-on-Trent store. You will lead the sales team, drive targets and KPIs, and ensure outstanding customer service.

The role requires managing day-to-day store operations, stock control, and staff rotas, while maintaining high store presentation and a strong customer-focused culture. Industry experience in carpets/flooring is helpful but not essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Store Manager or equivalent retail leadership role.
• Experience managing, motivating and developing a team.
• Strong understanding of the retail sales process.
• Experience working towards sales targets and KPIs.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Confident and professional approach to customer service.
• Positive, proactive and self-motivated with a can-do attitude.
• Ability to use initiative and make decisions independently.
• Strong commercial awareness and focus on results.
• Carpets/flooring/beds retail experience is preferred but not essential.
• Experience in a target-driven sales environment.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week, including weekends.
• Full UK driving licence preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operation of the store.
• Lead, motivate and coach the sales team.
• Drive sales performance against targets and KPIs.
• Deliver consistently high standards of customer service.
• Manage staff levels, rotas, holidays and days off.
• Maintain high standards of store presentation and cleanliness.
• Ensure stock levels and records are accurate and maintained.
• Monitor outstanding orders and overall business performance.
• Ensure company sales and administration procedures are followed.
