Job summary

A construction staffing agency in the UK is seeking an experienced Steelfixer Foreman for a long-term project in Uxbridge, West London. The role involves supervising a team of steelfixers, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and delivering work to specification. Job description

Teamforce Labour is currently seeking a highly experienced Steelfixer Foreman for a long-term project in Uxbridge, West London.

This is a superb opportunity for someone with a strong background in steel fixing who is ready to step up or already operating at a foreman level.

You will be expected to lead a team of steelfixers, coordinate with site management, and ensure that all steel fixing works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to specification.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of steelfixers on site
  • Ensure work is carried out in accordance with construction drawings and method statements
  • Maintain quality control procedures and complete daily reports
  • Liaise with site engineers and management to ensure work is completed to programme
  • Monitor health & safety compliance and enforce standards on site
  • Conduct toolbox talks and risk assessments where required
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in steel fixing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory/foreman capacity
  • Blue CSCS Skilled Worker Card – NVQ Level 2 in Steelfixing (or higher)
  • SSSTS or SMSTS
  • Ability to read and interpret detailed construction drawings
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Safety Critical Medical preferred (not essential)
  • Two checkable references
  • Up to date CV
