Overview

Tameside & Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust is looking to recruit to Band 5 nursing positions within Adult Nursing across various specialist wards within our medical, surgical, community and urgent care services. Here at Tameside and Glossop ICFT we believe 'Everyone Matters' and we have recently been rated GOOD and OUTSTANDING by the CQC and have ambitions to become an 'Outstanding' organisation. Our goal is to nurture and develop our workforce and we can offer you a wide range of development opportunities and support, including a comprehensive Preceptorship package for newly qualified nurses and nurses returning to the register and local specialised training. You will need to demonstrate you have a keen interest in making a difference in the delivery of care for people with health needs, be passionate and enthusiastic about patient care; putting patients at the heart of everything you do and demonstrating the Trust's Values and Behaviours. You will be required to liaise with a wide range of healthcare professionals as well as patients, carers and the public. As such, you will need excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Posts available include flexibility for full time, part time, nights and weekend work to suit your needs.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate effectively and maintain excellent interpersonal skills to support high-quality patient care.
  • Work across medical, surgical, community and urgent care services as required by the role.
Benefits and development opportunities
  • We will pay your NMC fees for the first year if you are newly qualified Nurse.
  • You will be provided a period of supernumerary status; the length of which will be discussed with you based on your experience to date.
  • We offer 18 month bespoke rotational programmes for nurses.
  • We will make a commitment to you having a personal induction.
  • Newly qualified nurses and midwives will receive a period of preceptorship; the length of which will be personalised to your professional requirements.
  • You will receive an annual appraisal.
  • You will get the chance to meet members of the Executive team and Trust Board when they undertake First Friday visits to clinical areas and other assurance visits.
  • You will have the chance to be nominated for a Hero award and our Everyone Matters Awards.
