Priory Hospital Lincolnshire is looking to recruit a Staff Nurse to join the team as maternity leave cover. This is a full time 37.5 hours role. Located in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire, Priory Hospital Lincolnshire is a low secure unit for males with mental health conditions. It offers support to those who are detained under the Mental Health Act (MHA).
You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients.
Our work is rewarding but can be challenging, so resilience is key. No two days are the same. Your natural empathy will help you support others through both the highs and lows. The candidate is a Qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with active NMC registration, having completed a preceptorship programme and gained 6-12 months of post-registration experience. They should have a solid understanding of NMC guidelines, requirements, and professional practices, supported by evidence of ongoing continuing professional development. They should demonstrate a positive attitude, with a strong commitment to change, improvement, and quality in practice, while also showing the ability to develop and apply flexible, innovative approaches to care. With excellent verbal and written communication skills, they should bring at least six months of experience working within mental health or learning disabilities care environments, further strengthened by continued professional growth in their field.
