Description

Priory Hospital Lincolnshire is looking to recruit a Staff Nurse to join the team as maternity leave cover. This is a full time 37.5 hours role. Located in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire, Priory Hospital Lincolnshire is a low secure unit for males with mental health conditions. It offers support to those who are detained under the Mental Health Act (MHA).

What you'll be doing

You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients.

  • Deliver prescribed care to a defined group within an agreed framework.
  • Assess, plan and deliver, with the patient and their carer/family, nursing care which takes account of patient choice and wishes and acting as the patient's named nurse.
  • Accurately observe and engage with patients in order to assess their need and evaluate their progress.
  • Monitor and review Nursing Care plans.
What you'll bring to the role

The candidate is a Qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with active NMC registration, having completed a preceptorship programme and gained 6-12 months of post-registration experience. They should have a solid understanding of NMC guidelines, requirements, and professional practices, supported by evidence of ongoing continuing professional development. They should demonstrate a positive attitude, with a strong commitment to change, improvement, and quality in practice, while also showing the ability to develop and apply flexible, innovative approaches to care. With excellent verbal and written communication skills, they should bring at least six months of experience working within mental health or learning disabilities care environments, further strengthened by continued professional growth in their field.
