Overview

Part Time - 16 hours per week

We are looking for a part time Staff Nurse to work on Buckley Ward at our Woodview Unit, Clitheroe.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, suitably qualified, experienced and forward thinking individual to join the teams at Woodview. You will be provided with a comprehensive induction and have the opportunity to engage in ongoing training, including the opportunity to undertake a structured preceptorship programme to support your professional development.

Responsibilities
  • As a Band 5 Registered Nurse (Mental Health or Learning Disabilities) the post holder will be a Registered Nurse (RN) working in an inpatient mental health setting as part of the multidisciplinary team and carry out a diverse range of duties including the assessment, formulation, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of nursing care that is evidence-based, person centred and recovery focused.
  • With the support of the Ward Manager and their deputies the post holder will lead and contribute to the smooth running of the unit in a consistent way that reflects the Trusts values.
  • As a Registered Nurse within the team you will be regularly supported and supervised by a nominated Registered Nurse and you will be encouraged and supported to take personal responsibility for clinical supervision and your continued professional development plan.
  • The post holder will exercise professional accountability and responsibility using skills, knowledge and expertise as outlined within the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and policies and procedures.
  • If the post holder is new to the NMC register they will undertake a period of preceptorship overseen by a named Preceptor within your team and engage in the trusts Preceptorship programme.
