Job summary
Engine by Starling seeks a Staff Infrastructure Engineer to design, build and run cloud foundations across multiple regions and providers. You will craft scalable, observable and secure systems that power our banking platform, leading projects from concept to production.
Ideal candidates bring extensive GCP, Terraform and Kubernetes experience, plus a strong focus on automation, documentation and cross-team collaboration in a fast-paced fintech environment.
Qualifications
- Experience designing and running multi-region cloud platforms.
- Strong Terraform and container orchestration experience.
- Proficiency with monitoring, logging and security controls.
- Ability to write clear technical docs and RFCs.
Responsibilities
- Design, document, build and maintain scalable infrastructure on GCP.
- Ensure performance and reliability of cloud environments and cost effectiveness.
- Automate processes and minimize manual work.
- Implement security by design and compliance standards.
- Lead infrastructure projects from inception to production.
- Create runbooks and train the team on new systems.
- Collaborate across teams to shape future architecture.
