Job summary

Engine by Starling is seeking a Staff Infrastructure Engineer to design, build and run the cloud foundations for our global, cloud-native banking platform. You will own scalable infrastructure on GCP, drive security by design and ensure peak reliability across regions.

You will lead complex projects, contribute to architecture decisions, and help shape our tooling, automation and runbooks, while collaborating across teams in a fast-paced fintech environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with GCP services including GKE, Compute Engine, Network Connectivity Center, Cloud SQL, IAM and VPC Service Controls.
• Experience writing clean, modular Terraform code with automation.
• Experience with service-oriented architecture using containers and immutable infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design, document, build and maintain scalable infrastructure on GCP across regions.
• Ensure the performance and reliability of cloud environments while controlling costs.
• Lead complex infrastructure projects from inception to production and mentor others.
