Marks & Spencer plc is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead the SRE-focused Platform team responsible for reliability across 1000+ engineers and 30+ applications. You will guide technical vision, champion reusable pipelines, tooling, plugins and frameworks, and contribute code where needed.

You’ll line-manage senior engineers, drive recruitment, and ensure engineering excellence aligned with our technical strategy.

Qualifications

• Extensive senior software engineering experience across multiple tech stacks.
• Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
• Strong knowledge of SRE and reliability practices.

Responsibilities

• Own platform engineering excellence and production reliability.
• Lead and line-manage senior engineers and recruit.
• Align with technical strategy and roadmap.
