Overview

Edwards Lifesciences has a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Clinical Imaging Specialist, with strong Echocardiography experience to join our European team. This position is 90% home office based, with very occasional travel. We consider candidates from various European locations, including: UK, Portugal, Germany, Netherlands, Ireland, Spain.

Responsibilities
  • Analysis of imaging and/or oversee third party image analysis for patient screening and contribute an opinion to the assessment of potential cases.
  • Analyze, summarize, and present clinical baseline, procedural, and follow-up imaging (e.g., CT, echo, angiography) to provide inputs that support new product and procedure development and to support event investigations.
  • Collaborate and provide recommendations to commercial, NPD team and healthcare professionals to develop imaging patient selection criteria and screening protocol.
  • Provide input to training content relevant to image analysis for healthcare professionals.
  • Train field support team and/or healthcare professionals on patient screening procedures. Manage the full screening process by updating information in patient shared databases (Salesforce and Sharepoint), assign tasks to internal and external contributors, monitor progress and request updates.
  • Lead one or two imaging modalities for one or two therapies screening review calls with Field Clinical Specialist and circulate appropriate screening evaluation documentation.
  • Lead training delivery to healthcare professionals and Field Clinical Specialist about Patient Screening on one imaging modality.
  • Develop and improve training curriculum and training materials, based on clinical experience, Edwards guidelines and SOPs.
What you will need
  • Bachelor's Degree or Master’s degree in Cardiac sciences, Biological Sciences, Cardiac Physiology, Echocardiography, Cardiovascular perfusion or other related cardiology field.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in cardiac imaging within a clinical, hospital and/or industry environment (CT, cardiac sonographer, echocardiographer).
  • Professional accreditation in echocardiography with EACVI (European Society of Cardiology), BSE (British Society of Echocardiography) or equivalent is highly desirable.
  • Fluency in English to business level, both written and verbal, is essential.
What else we look for
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills in English.
  • Full knowledge and understanding of principles, theories, and concepts relevant to cardiovascular imaging.
  • Strict attention to detail.
  • Substantial knowledge of one or more relevant imaging equipment operation (e.g. 2D or 3D TTE/TEE/ICE, CT, MRI, etc.) and screening methodology of one or more therapy.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, including inter-departmental teams and key contacts representing the organization on contracts or projects.
  • Ability to interact with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations.
