A leading building services company is seeking a skilled Building Services Testing Officer to ensure the safety and compliance of fire safety systems. You will be responsible for regular testing, inspection, and maintenance of essential safety equipment, including fire alarms and emergency lighting. Ideal candidates will have a strong knowledge of fire safety measures, technical expertise in building services, and experience with Health & Safety requirements. This position offers a competitive salary and various employee benefits.
Build Services Testing Officer – responsible for testing, inspecting, and maintaining PA Housing's fire safety systems and building services equipment.
Are you the one who can keep our buildings – and our people – safe? We're looking for a skilled and proactive Building Services Testing Officer to join our team. In this role, you'll be the go-to person for testing, inspecting, and maintaining PA Housing's fire safety systems and building services equipment. From fire alarms to emergency lighting, you'll make sure our homes and buildings are safe, compliant, and working exactly as they should. This role will be primarily onsite in South East London with occasional visits to South West and Croydon.
This role requires a standard/enhanced DBS check. A standard DBS check will show any spent and unspent convictions. Because this role will be required to visit and support PA Housing residents in their own homes on a regular basis, we have a duty to ensure we take precautions regarding who will be visiting them and representing PA Housing. Having unspent convictions will not necessarily preclude you from being recruited; if you are a potential successful candidate, we will complete a risk assessment with you to understand the circumstances around your conviction, how relevant they are to the post, and what remedial action has been taken since. Suitable references will also need to be obtained prior to commencement of employment.
