Salary : Up to £40,000 + benefits

Role Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join a specialist service supporting adults with Learning Disabilities and Autism in Grimsby.

Service users present with a range of complex sensory and communication needs, including dysphagia, requiring skilled assessment and intervention. This role offers the chance to work in a highly supportive multidisciplinary environment with strong clinical leadership and development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality Speech and Language Therapy assessments and interventions

Provide specialist dysphagia assessment and management as required

Manage a designated caseload, planning, implementing and evaluating care

Work collaboratively within the MDT, contributing to care planning and reviews

Provide clinical supervision to Speech & Language Therapy Assistants

Offer specialist SLT advice and consultation to colleagues and families

Support service development alongside senior clinicians

Promote safeguarding, professional standards and regulatory compliance

Person Specification

Essential :

Degree or equivalent qualification in Speech & Language Therapy

HCPC registration

RCSLT membership

Minimum 2 years' post-qualification experience

Experience working with Learning Disabilities, Autism and complex needs

Knowledge of dysphagia assessment and intervention

Experience supporting or supervising junior staff / students

Strong written and verbal communication skills
