Job description

The position is offered on a full‑time 10‑PA basis though part‑time applications will be considered. Candidates who have completed their CCT or have significant community paediatric experience are encouraged to apply. The role is based primarily at Pinderfields but will involve care within Wakefield and Pontefract.

Main duties of the job
  • General Community and Neurodisability Clinics
  • ADHD assessment (potential for triage)
  • Social communication/ASD assessments
  • Potential delivery of clinical and educational supervision (once training undertaken)
  • Administrative duties with appropriate office space and secretarial support
  • Promote a multi‑disciplinary team approach to care within community paediatrics, children’s therapy services, CAMHS and the local authority
  • Support professional activities in accordance with the Trust Framework, including a minimum of 1 SPA in the core 10‑PA timetable. Additional SPA or DCC time may be commissioned in line with the successful candidate’s skills and service needs.

Personal Specification
  • Essential (Qualifications)
  • Full GMC registration with licence to practise
  • Medical degree from a recognised medical school
  • Eligibility to work in the UK

  • Progress towards or attainment of Royal College examinations
  • ATLS, ALS, APLS or PALS certification
  • Higher qualifications such as MFARM, FRCS, MRCP, MRCPG, MRCS, FRCA or equivalent
