Job Overview

This post will provide a 12‑month fixed‑term contract offering the opportunity to work within the Adult team providing support to our adult population and their families with eating, drinking and swallowing difficulties. You will join a team of dedicated Speech and Language Therapists and Clinical Support Workers who are passionate about meeting the needs of our population.

Responsibilities
  • Provide assessment, therapy, advice and support to our adult population and their families who have specific needs in relation to eating, drinking and swallowing.
  • Assess, develop and implement specialist speech and language therapy treatment.
  • Manage a caseload of complex cases within adult dysphagia.
  • Offer specialist clinical advice, training and support to SLT colleagues and other professionals in adult dysphagia.
Qualifications and Requirements

Applicants must hold or be able to work towards a relevant healthcare qualification in Speech and Language Therapy and be registered with the relevant professional body. The Trust provides sponsorship solely for registered healthcare practitioners.

Applicants must be able to confirm their right to work and reside in the UK prior to appointment and during employment, and must promptly notify the line manager of any changes in visa status.
