Job description

Position: Specialist Speech and Language Therapist – Deliver high‑quality speech and language services to students in mainstream schools across Greater Manchester.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver specialist SaLT services at Universal, Targeted, and Specialist levels.
  • Work autonomously to provide assessment, therapy, training, and consultancy.
  • Support students, school staff, families, and carers with evidence‑based interventions.
  • Supervise and mentor junior colleagues, contributing to professional development and clinical governance.
  • Be part of a dynamic, multi‑disciplinary team including Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, and Positive Behaviour Support Practitioners.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Speech and Language Therapy and HCPC registration.
  • Member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists.
  • Experience working with young people and adults with complex needs, learning disabilities, and Autism Spectrum Conditions.
  • Ability to deliver training and consultancy, manage a caseload autonomously, and provide clinical supervision.
  • Knowledge of best practice, assessment tools, and embedding therapy into learning activities.
