This role is a new role within the department of Neurology & Stroke; the appointed candidate(s) will join an existing team of 14 senior medical staff including Consultants & SAS doctors. On joining the department, you will become part of a well‑established, friendly team and will help us continue to drive forward improvements in the service that we provide to our patients. As a senior member of the team, you will become a key part in the delivery of training and supervision to our junior colleagues. The Trust's Health and Wellbeing team has won a National Award during 2020 for the work they have done locally.
This 18‑month fixed term post will work closely with a team of Consultant Neurologists and Clinical Nurse specialists, the post holder will be expected to initiate and provide sound clinical/medical practices to patients under the care of the Neurology team, mostly in outpatient clinics but also if they admitted under other general medical teams. The post will also include clinical involvement in the acute stroke service.
