Overview

Applications are invited for the post of Specialist Doctor in Dermatology at the Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust.

The medical team work alongside our exceptional team of nurses, allied health professionals, and community partners to deliver the very best multi-disciplinary care to our community. The department is dedicated to providing a first class service where the patients come first.

About the Dermatology Department

The Dermatology Department at Royal Cornwall Hospital is recognised for its innovative approaches, particularly through super clinics for complex cases, teledermatology through the ISLA app, and award winning Quality in Care approach to our Patient Care Pathway.

  • Maintenance of the highest clinical standards in the management of Dermatology patients.
  • To share with colleagues responsibility for the day-to-day management of the Dermatology Department.
  • Teaching and training of junior staff and medical students where applicable.
  • To have responsibility for ensuring active participation in continuing medical education (CME).
  • To actively participate in both departmental and Trust matters concerning Clinical Governance and Audit.
  • To attend meetings as appropriate.
  • Fulfill duties of weekly timetable including acute work.
