A prominent healthcare organization in London is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Special School Nursing Team. The role includes managing a caseload, delivering community health services, and supporting children with special educational needs. Successful candidates will possess specialized nursing qualifications and demonstrate strong assessment and coordination skills. This position offers a supportive work environment and developmental opportunities.
The post holder will be a Registered Nurse (RN12 - NMC) with either a Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (School Nursing) qualification or a Registered Children's Nurse qualification. They will hold responsibility for an allocated caseload, providing assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of care, while being professionally and legally accountable for their practice. They will work as part of the Special School Nursing Team, line managing Community Staff Nurses, Community Nursery Nurses and Support Staff, coordinating and delegating work as appropriate.

This post will be subject to a probationary period.
NELFT places great importance on new starters being properly welcomed into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks, including mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process, new starters will also have the opportunity to meet the executive team, senior managers, and attend several drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing, and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £4,714 to a maximum of £5,941p.a. pro rata for part time).
