Overview

Special Needs Support Workers

We are seeking suitably enthusiastic and committed Special Needs Support Workers to join Pens Meadow School to support our growing pupil cohort and to work in our new building with expanded capacity, including a new nursery.

Locations

Pens Meadow School at Ridge Hill, Brierley Hill Road, Wordsley DY8 5ST

and

Pens Meadow School at Tiled House Lane, Pensnett DY5 4LN

Hours and Salary

Hours: 27.5 hours (Term Time Only - 39 weeks per year)

First year Salary will reflect number of working days remaining in holiday year

Salary: Grade 4, SCP 5 to 6

Actual Salary: £16,413.65 to £17,051.24 per annum

Role context

Pens Meadow currently provides quality education for 110 pupils aged 4 to 19 with complex learning needs including medical conditions and autism. Our staff team are committed to improvement, and we believe in high standards, teamwork and seeking the very best for every child in our care. The school was very pleased with the outcome of our most recent OfSTED inspection in May 2025.
