Qualifications

• Level 2 (or equivalent) qualification in a relevant area.
• Minimum 6 weeks experience in a formal learning environment or placement.
• 12 months’ experience in a formal learning environment.
• Desirable: Level 3 qualification in a relevant area.

Responsibilities

• Assist with educational support and care of pupil(s) with SEN under teaching staff guidance.
• Support implementation of Education Plan / Care Plan and encourage pupil participation.
• Promote independence and manage learning environments to aid pupil progress.
• Supervise pupils and assist with safety, behaviour support and off-site activities.
