A creative agency is seeking an experienced Spatial Designer to create immersive retail experiences. The role involves modeling 3D environments and working collaboratively with various teams. Applicants should have over 5 years of experience, proficiency in 3D software, and a strong understanding of retail dynamics. The position also offers flexible working conditions, including remote work options and generous holiday allowances.
We’re part strategic consultancy, part design agency. We shape the strategy and create the work that consumers see and experience.
We’re proud to be fiercely independent, working with brands we believe in and building our company around the things that energise us. That means meaningful collaboration, genuine empowerment, and the ability to move with pace and flexibility for our clients.
We’re looking for designers who want to make their mark. People who thrive in environments that aren’t overly neat or tightly prescribed. Those who embrace ownership, enjoy variety, and feel energised by the opportunity to shape both the work and the way we work.
We’re looking for a Spatial Designer experienced in creating immersive, functional, and high-converting retail experiences for both physical stores and out-of-home environments. You will work closely with design leadership, strategy, and client teams to design environments that define the future of our brand presence.
Your role is to bridge the gap between creative concepts and physical reality. By building realistic, to-scale, 3D environments, ranging from big-box retailers to high-impact displays, you will allow our team to stress-test and visualize creative work long before it hits the production floor.
Your working hours will need to account for collaboration between teams based in the UK and US. How this would work best for you is open for discussion throughout the process.
3D Environment Modeling: Build and maintain a library of accurate, to-scale 3D environments, including national carrier stores, big box retailers, and urban OOH landscapes.
Creative Integration: Take 2D and 3D assets from the wider creative team and integrate them into custom-built environments to evaluate scale, legibility, and visual impact.
Fixture Deep-Dives: Design and iterate on specific retail fixtures, providing detailed technical breakdowns including exact dimensions, material specifications, and lighting requirements.
Strategic Visioning: Contribute to the development of a North Star design system for fixtures and creative placements, ensuring a consistent and premium brand language across all touch points.
Prototyping & Visualization: Produce high-fidelity renders and fly-throughs that help stakeholders understand the customer journey and the efficacy of our design interventions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with brand and production designers to ensure that spatial designs are not just aesthetically pleasing, but commercially viable and aligned with brand goals.
You’ll be a strong fit if you have 5+ years of relevant experience and bring a blend of the following:
Software Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in today's 3D modeling and rendering software, whilst being at the forefront of how evolving AI tools can enhance our process.
Technical Precision: Ability to work with architectural drawings and CAD files to ensure all renders are 100% to scale.
Materiality & Lighting: Deep understanding of physical materials and how they interact with ambient and focal lighting in a retail setting.
Retail Literacy: Knowledge of merchandising principles, sightlines, and consumer flow within high-traffic environments.
Creative curiosity and the desire to push ideas further.
Comfortable with pace, ambiguity, and multi-disciplinary collaboration.
Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate rationale and
listen actively.
A strategic, problem-solving mindset that connects design to broader
business aims.
A willingness to explore new tools, practices, and design approaches.
Remote first, with regular opportunities to collaborate in-person as a team
25 holiday days, in addition to bank holidays
Regular team-wide get-togethers
Up to 20 days of overseas working per year
Company pension with 4% employer contribution
2 paid volunteer activities per calendar year (weigh in with passions and ideas!), and charitable donation matching
An annual well-being budget to use on general physical and mental wellness as employees see fit
