Job summary

Open Cosmos Ltd. is seeking an embedded software engineer to design, implement, and validate flight software for Linux and RTOS platforms. You will contribute to CI/CD, code reviews, and testing campaigns to ensure robust software for space missions.

You will collaborate with Systems, Electronics, and Mission Operations teams to integrate subsystems and support post-launch operations, applying ECSS standards and secure design principles.

Qualifications

• Strong programming skills in Rust or C/C++ and the ability to transition to Rust.
• Experience with Linux development environments and scripting.
• Familiarity with space engineering standards (ECSS) and embedded systems knowledge.
• Experience with CI/CD and test automation.
• Understanding of RTOS concepts in embedded software environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, validate, and maintain satellite flight software.
• Support ground tools; ensure robustness and traceability for space missions.
• Develop features for Linux and RTOS-based systems in line with mission requirements.
• Participate in code reviews, testing campaigns, and CI/CD to ensure high quality software.
• Maintain configuration control and full software traceability throughout development.
• Collaborate with Systems, Electronics, and Mission Operations teams to test subsystems.
• Contribute to post-launch operations and build/integration activities.
• Drive continuous improvement in architecture, design, and engineering processes.
