Job summary

Open Cosmos Ltd. seeks a software engineer to design, implement, validate and maintain satellite flight software within our Data Division. You will work across Linux-based environments, RTOS, and develop features aligned with mission requirements.

You will contribute to code reviews, CI/CD, and cross-functional testing with Systems, Electronics and Mission Operations, driving reliability and delivery efficiency for space missions.

Qualifications

• Experience designing satellite flight software.
• Proficiency in Rust or strong C/C++ skills with motivation to move to Rust.
• Experience in Linux development environments and embedded software.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, validate and maintain satellite flight software.
• Support ground tools, ensuring robustness and traceability for space missions.
• Develop features for Linux and RTOS-based systems per mission requirements.
• Participate in code reviews, testing campaigns, and CI/CD processes.
• Maintain configuration control, documentation, and traceability.
• Collaborate with Systems, Electronics and Mission Operations teams.
• Contribute to post-launch operations and integration activities.
• Drive continuous improvement in architecture, design and processes.
