Open Cosmos Ltd. is seeking an embedded software engineer to join the Data division, designing, implementing and validating flight software for Linux/RTOS systems and supporting ground tools.

You will work with Systems, Electronics, and Mission Operations teams to ensure reliability and traceability. The role emphasizes Rust or C/C++, secure coding, CI/CD practices, and familiarity with ECSS standards, aiming to deliver high-quality software for space missions and contribute to post-launch

Qualifikationen

• Proficiency in Rust, or C/C++ with intent to transition to Rust.
• Experience in Linux development environments, including scripting.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools including GitLab, Jenkins, Docker and pytest.
• Secure coding and fault-tolerant design for mission-critical software.
• Knowledge of ECSS standards and spacecraft subsystems, and how software interfaces with them.
• Understanding RTOS concepts and embedded space software environments.
• Experience in software verification and validation, including traceability.

Aufgaben

• Designing, implementing, validating, and maintaining flight software for Linux/RTOS systems.
• Supporting ground tools, ensuring robustness and traceability.
• Participating in code reviews, testing campaigns, and CI/CD processes.
• Maintaining configuration control, documentation, and full software traceability.

• Contributing to post-launch operations and build activities.
• Driving continuous improvement in architecture and engineering processes.
