Open Cosmos Ltd. in the UK is seeking an embedded software engineer to design, implement and validate satellite flight software within the Data Division.

You will work across Delivery, Image Processing, Data Platform and Commercial teams to deliver high-quality data products and support the geospatial platform DataCosmos. You will develop features for Linux and RTOS-based systems, participate in code reviews and CI/CD, and collaborate with Systems, Electronics and Mission Operations to ensure

Formación

• Rust or C/C++ with ability to transition to Rust in production.
• Proficiency in compiled and object-oriented programming with emphasis on performance and reliability.
• Experience in Linux development environments with scripting.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools like GitLab, Jenkins, Docker, and pytest.
• Ability to apply secure coding and fault-tolerant design principles for mission-critical contexts.
• Knowledge of spacecraft subsystems including ADCS, EPS, communications, and payload.
• Awareness of ECSS standards and practical software documentation implications.
• Understanding RTOS concepts in embedded/space software environments.
• Experience with verification, validation, and traceability for critical systems.
• Ability to collaborate with Systems, Electronics, and Mission Operations teams.
