Job summary

Exeter City Council’s Spa at St Sidwell's Point in Exeter is seeking a friendly Spa Welcome Host to manage front-of-house, bookings, and guest guidance, ensuring a warm and memorable visit for every guest.

You will handle enquiries in person, by phone, or email, upsell treatments and memberships, and work with a supportive team to maintain high standards across all spa areas, creating an inviting wellness experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in spa, hospitality, luxury retail, or customer service environments is desirable.
• Strong organisational and communication skills are essential.
• Willingness to work towards individual and team targets and to upsell services.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of day-to-day spa operations and ensure smooth front-of-house activities.
• Act as central point of communication between guests, therapists, management and the team.
• Deliver exceptional customer service in person, on the phone, or via email.
• Manage spa reservations; guide guests on treatments, facilities, products and memberships.
• Use booking systems and Microsoft Office applications with accuracy.
• Maintain high standards across spa facilities, ensuring guest-ready spaces.
• Identify opportunities to upsell treatments, products and memberships to meet targets.
• Support the spa's growth with professionalism and initiative.
