Herz Valves UK Ltd is seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to cover the Southwest on a field-based basis. The role focuses on developing new business, managing existing accounts, and maintaining strong customer relationships to drive spend and retention.

A technical background is advantageous for consulting with a varied client base, with quarterly travel to the Peterborough head office for sales meetings and a hybrid field/home working pattern.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in field sales within a B2B environment.
• Ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.
• Experience managing accounts, controlling spend and reducing attrition.
• Technical background or strong technical understanding is advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Develop, manage, and grow a defined sales territory across the Southwest.
• Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with existing customers to maximise spend and reduce attrition.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities, selling to SMEs, merchants, architects, and related stakeholders.
• Work with clients to understand technical requirements and provide value-led solutions.
• Monitor customer spend, margins, and retention, taking proactive steps to address risks.
• Deliver against KPIs, sales targets, and growth objectives.
• Maintain records of activity, pipeline, and forecasts.
• Attend quarterly sales meetings at the Peterborough head office.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure excellent customer service and delivery.
• Friday afternoon is generally used as a home office day for administration, planning, and follow-ups.
