Job summary

William Henry Associates is recruiting on behalf of a market-leading global engineering manufacturer for an experienced Area Sales Manager to cover the North West of England.

You will take ownership of sales performance across the region, develop key customer relationships, identify new business opportunities in oil, gas, petrochemical and hydrogen sectors, and negotiate commercial agreements with technical stakeholders. A strong engineering background is essential.

Qualifications

• Mechanical engineering background is required or strong equivalent.
• Proven experience in technical sales, area sales or business development.
• Experience selling engineered products into oil, gas, petrochemical or hydrogen sectors.
• Strong technical understanding and ability to communicate with engineering and commercial stakeholders.
• Excellent negotiation and commercial skills.

Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for sales performance across the North West of England.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
• Identify and convert new business opportunities within oil, gas, petrochemical and hydrogen sectors.
• Negotiate commercial agreements and take ownership of sales results within the territory.
• Provide technically informed solutions based on customer requirements.
• Work closely with internal engineering, manufacturing and commercial teams.
• Represent the business professionally in a competitive, technically demanding market.
